[DRAFT – Mike to confirm]
Who we are
This website is run by Wandering Albatross Ltd, trading as Boglands (company no. 435216, VAT no. IE9659755L), Gorteen, Daingean, Co. Offaly, Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: info@boglands.ie or 087 911 9401.
What we collect and why
- Order details: your name, email address, billing address, phone number (if given), order notes and the name of the voucher recipient. We use these to take payment, create your voucher, email it to you and honour it when it is redeemed. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Payment: card and wallet payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on this website. Stripe may use your data to prevent fraud. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Records: we keep order and invoice records for 6 years, as required by Irish tax law. Voucher records are kept until the voucher has expired or been fully used, and then for the same 6-year period.
- Emails: we only email you about your order and your voucher. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
Cookies
The shop uses essential cookies to run the basket and checkout, and Stripe sets cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. WooCommerce also records how you arrived at the site (for example, a search engine or a link) against your order so we can see which of our marketing works.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the services that run this shop: our web host in Ireland, Stripe for payments, and our email provider for sending your voucher. We may share information with the Gardaí or Revenue where the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing info@boglands.ie. We will reply within one month. Some order records must be kept for tax purposes and cannot be deleted before the 6-year period ends. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.
